CA CPT Pass percentage for December 2014 examination

ICAI on 19th January 2015 has announced results of CA Common Proficiency Test (CPT) Examination held in December 2014.

Total 100957 number of candidates appeared for the CA CPT Examination out of which total 14880 students have cleared the exam. The total pass percentage for CA CPT Examination is 14.74%.

In last June 2014 of CA CPT Examination, 130291 students appeared for the CA CPT examination in 383 centers. Out of which 37303 are able to clear the exam to take the total pass percentage to 28.63%.

Female students have done better than male students. Out of 63541 numbers of male candidates appeared for CA CPT Examination, 9060 candidates are able to pass. Similarly out of total number of 37416 female candidates, 5820 candidates are passed out the examination. Pass percentage for male candidates is 14.26% and for female candidates its 15.55%.

Top three rank holders of Common Proficiency Test or CPT (Paper-Pencil Mode) held in December, 2014 are from Vijayawada, Kathmandu, Raipur & Guntur.

In the December 2014 of CA CPT examination, Panasa Visweswara Rao, from Vijayawada, has topped in the country with 188 marks (94%). Pranav Pratik Tulshyan of Kathmandu and Rohit Kumar Soni of Raipur also scored 94% (188 marks) to get placed all India 1st rank along with Panasa.

With 186 marks (93%) Prathi Sai Kiran and Yerrasani Manoj Kumar reddy placed all India second rank.Bolla Manisha of Vijayawada also got all india second rank with 186 marks (93%).

Vijayawada boy Chitthari Mahesh and Guntur boy Malisetty Surya Prakash stood third with 92.50% (185 marks).

By looking at the above analysis you can find that in December 2014, the pass percentage of CA Common Proficiency Test examination has decreased drastically in comparison to previous attempts.

After clearing CA CPT Examination, students will be eligible to enroll themselves for CA IPCC or intermediate Examination.
