All tax payers are required to send their ITR copy (i.e. ITRV) to IT department, CPC office, Bangalore if they have e-filled their return without digital signature.
As per IT act, IT Return copy has to be sent on or before 120 days of e-filling your ITR (i.e. uploading your IT return). If you are e-filling your ITR on 31st July then the due date of sending IT receipt is 31st October. Such copies are required to be signed and sent through ordinary post.
Non submission of IT return copy (i.e. ITRV) before 120 days or within the date as allowed to you by IT department will be treated as if you have not filled your ITR. For such delay, you need to e-file your IT return again. The date of filling your IT return will be the date when you e-filled it last time i.e. the earlier date will not be considered.
Non receipt of IT receipt or ITRV will delay in processing your IT refund.

There are assessees who never use to send their IT return copy to IT department thinking, it’s all over after uploading the IT return. But in reality it’s not the case, you need to send it to CPC, Bangalore office if you have filled your return electronically without using digital signature.
These IT return receipts are only accepted at IT department’s CPC Bangalore office. No other offices can accept such receipt. If you have sent it to your local IT office then it’s wrong. You need to send a copy to IT office, CPC, Bangalore.
If you have already sent your IT return copy (i.e. ITRV) to IT department and it has not reached them then such copy has to be sent again to the CPC, Bangalore office of IT department.
