The Profit center standard hierarchy is a structure that contains all the profit centers belonging to one controlling area. PC Standard hierarchy is a representation of the organization and management levels within a market.
While creating a profit center master, you should assign it to one of the node in PC standard hierarchy. It represents a tree structure of all the profit centers and profit center groups under one controlling area.
By using the function “profit center” at the top of the menu on creation of PC standard hierarchy screen you can add number of profit center from a particular range to another at a time. You have to be very careful while using this function as the system does not have any check control there i.e. it will also select the number or name of profit center which has not yet been created in the system.
PC groups can be assigned by selecting the option “lower level” under the profit center standard hierarchy. PC sub groups can also be created by using the same function but below the PC groups created under the PC standard hierarchy.
