You can define your screen layouts for asset masters by using path;
SPRO > Financial Accounting > Asset Accounting > Master Data > Screen Layout > Define Screen Layout for Asset Master Data
Like other master data you can also define it for asset master by using above transaction codes and path.
If you want to define it for the asset class then in the first step you must define a screen layout and then assign it to your asset master
After entering the transaction code or by following the path click on “define screen layout for asset master data”
Select your layout and double click on “logical field groups” and then select a field group and double click on “field group rules”.
From here you can maintain the fields for asset master screen layout. You can maintain it as optional entry, required entry or only for display.
You can define it for a depreciation area either by using below path;
SPRO > Financial Accounting > Asset Accounting > Master Data > Screen Layout > Define Screen layout for asset depreciation area
You can also use transaction code AO21
Like in the case of asset master here also you define the fields to be required or optional or only for display. To do that selects it and double click on filed group rules. You will be displayed with different fields to select. Now select and change it accordingly.
Assign layout of depreciation area to asset class
To assign field group rules we defined in above steps we have to use below path;
SPRO > Financial Accounting > Asset Accounting > Valuation > Determine Depreciation Areas in the asset class
You can also use transaction code OAYZ to assign layout of depreciation area to asset class.
Now update the layout field with depreciation key and useful life.
Save it.
Now screen layout is ready for asset master and depreciation area.
